  1. Absolutely beautiful. It's astonishing how prolific these golden age illustrators could be. I don't know how to guess your favorites, but to think of mine, which are any of the Ladies in their fineries.

    1. Hi Thom, I love Elaine sewing in her bower, and with her shield; Enid walking beside Yniol; Guinevere with her ladies, both at the fountain and with the birds in the garden; the old man beneath the tree, both with the lady and alone; Enid at sunset: and all of the rest!

    light the song with sense and color, hold away despair. More than this I will not ask. Faced with mysteries dark and vast, statements just seem vain at last some rise, some fall, some climb...to get to Terrapin"
